Asphalt Foreman

Reporting to the Asphalt Superintendent the Asphalt Foreman will:

• Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of paving crew
• Will train and mentor members of the paving crew
• Schedule daily work load
• Ordering Materials
• ensure the proper handling and maintenance of machinery

Job Requirements, Education and Experience:

• Must be a member of Local 183 or Local 793
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
• Minimum of 8 years of paving experience in highway, road and parking lots

Compensation:

• As per union contract

Working Conditions:

• 10-14 hours per day
• Days, some nights and weekends
• Physical Environment - High intensity. Exposure to disagreeable conditions (inclement weather, busy safety sensitive work sites, uneven terrain)
• Physical Demand – High intensity. Operating and repairing heavy equipment. Heavy lifting.
• Mental Effort – High intensity. Operating and working around heavy equipment.  Consistent sustained high impact/risk, focus, critical thinking.
