Job Summary
The Site Superintendent represents a critical core competence that has direct impact on the success of Fermar Paving Ltd. (“the Company”). The incumbent is responsible to ensure all work performed on site leads to the successful completion of assigned Projects (in the range $5m - $15m). All issues/decisions/actions are subject to review and/or approval by a Senior Site Superintendent or Operations Manager. Site Superintendent may also be responsible for specific tasks on larger, complex projects under the direction of a Senior Site Superintendent. Site Superintendent will act as back up to Senior Site Superintendent fulfilling all duties of this level on a temporary basis when required.
This role oversees project site work processes and is responsible for construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning, scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling activities on project sites.
The role is responsible for timely communication and proactive coordination with other managers and sub-contractors on site, and with Customers or their agents. The role is accountable for decision-making to ensure the effective planning and utilization of material and human resources on site that prevents conflicts in workflow to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, on time, and meets Company quality standards.
