Job Summary

We are a large contractor in the GTA seeking an experienced Asphalt Roller Operator to join our asphalt crews. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety focused and capable of working in a fast-paced environment both day & night shifts.  This position includes operating Breakdown, Rubber tire, and finish rollers ranging from 3-14 tons to achieve proper compaction and high-quality asphalt surfaces.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate Breakdown, Rubber Tire, and Finish rollers safely and efficiently
  • Perform compaction according to project specifications and crew direction
  • Monitor mat temperature, rolling patterns, and coverage a needed
  • Communicate with paving crew to ensure proper sequencing and timing
  • Perform daily equipment inspection and routine maintenance
  • Identify and report mechanical issues promptly
  • Follow all safety rules and job site procedures
  • Assist with general paving duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience operating Asphalt Roller ranging from 3-14 tons is preferred
  • Knowledge of rolling patterns, compaction methods, and various asphalt mixes
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and long hours both day & night shifts
  • Physically capable of climbing, bending and standing for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
  • Valid drivers license
