Job Summary
The Assistant Asphalt Superintendent role represents a key core competence. This is an essential supporting role that has controlled and high impact on the success of Fermar Paving Ltd. (“the Company”) Operations. The role provides tracking and reporting of detailed production, job documentation and quantities that are needed to compare materials used against Project Plan (Budget). This information is critical to ensure accurate and timely payments to Sub-contractors and Vendors.
The Assistant Asphalt Superintendent provides support to the Asphalt Superintendent by communicating with other Company departments to assist with allocation of equipment and manpower and materials on the Projects. The role requires on-going communication of progress updates, quantities, and logistics items with the Project Manager, Asphalt Superintendent, Operations Managers, Client’s representative (Site Inspector).
The Assistant Asphalt Superintendent assists the Asphalt Superintendent in preparing schedules, budgets, and progress reports, as well as information required for regularly scheduled meetings with Management and Clients. The Assistant Asphalt Superintendent will be required to support multiple Projects concurrently.

Travel Requirements Daily within GTA. Hours of Work 50 +/- hours a week including days, nights, weekends |
Physical Environment High intensity. 10% office. 90% construction site visits. Exposure to disagreeable conditions (inclement weather). |
